How to use Zurig Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zurig 80mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Zurig 80mg Tablet is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. It works by decreasing blood uric acid, which is the chemical that causes gout.

- Your doctor has prescribed Zurig to reduce episodes of gout attack.
- Take Zurig at the same time every day, with or without food.
- Take plenty of fluids (2-3 litres) daily while on Zurig.
- Notify your doctor if you develop a rash. This could be a sign of allergy and should go away on discontinuing Zurig.
- To ensure that Zurig is working, you may have to undergo blood tests regularly.
- When you first start taking Zurig, you might have more gout attacks. Do not stop Zurig on having an acute attack of gout as that could make an attack worse.

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Zurig 80mg Tablet may cause dizziness, sleepiness, blurred vision, numbness or tingling sensation. This may affect your driving ability.

What if you miss a dose of Zurig Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Zurig 80mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
